    Six Months of Hope

    A Message from Our Founder

In October 2025, I organized a fundraising soirée to support women living with breast cancer. What I did not know then was that I was opening a door that would completely change my life.

When I met the women we had set out to help, I discovered something I had never truly understood. Every single woman carried a heartbreaking story. Most had not even begun treatment, not because they lacked the will to fight, but because they simply could not afford the cost of diagnosis and care.

Many had lived with advanced breast cancer for months, some even for years, because every step of the journey required money they did not have.

I realized I could not walk away.

That moment led to the birth of Malindi Hands of Hope.

Six months later, I have had the privilege of watching women who had lost all hope begin to believe again. Many of our first beneficiaries have completed chemotherapy, undergone life-saving surgery, and are now progressing to radiotherapy. Seeing hope return to their eyes, and to the faces of their families, is something words can never fully describe.

Kilifi County is one of Kenya's poorest counties, yet cancer remains one of the most expensive illnesses to treat. For families surviving on less than one dollar a day, the cost of diagnosis, transport, nutrition, and treatment is overwhelming.

Our purpose is simple: to ensure that poverty is never the reason a woman loses her chance to fight for her life.
